Now, more than ever, people can be found sitting down, typing on a keyboard, and looking at their smartphones for substantial amounts of time. These are just a few examples of the excessive movement patterns that cause muscle imbalances leading to poor posture.
The repetitive nature of these movement patterns causes our muscles to adapt to the stress – leading to an unequalized relationship between opposing muscle groups (certain muscles become shortened, and the opposing ones, lengthened).
Certified personal trainers (CPT’s) are taught how to identify and correct common muscle imbalances to aid in the proper function and stabilization of your joints.
Addressing the muscle imbalances can alleviate stiffness, discomfort, and the potential for injury, as well as make your confidence soar!
